The SGS Library is staffed by member volunteers and usually open for research Tuesday through Saturday. To be sure that the library is open or that the elevator is available, give us a call before you come: (206) 522-8658.

10:00 am to 3:00 pm
In addition to the library's collection of books and maps, wireless Internet access and a digital scanning workstation are available. FamilySearch Affiliate records may be viewed on any Internet-connected computer within the library. Four computer workstations provide access to the subscription websites Ancestry, Fold3, Newspapers Extra, FindMyPast, American Ancestors by NEHGS, and Historygeo, a database of historical maps and landowners covering 29 US states and pre-statehood Texas.

This me ans that when you are inside the SGS Library either using your own computer or our Patron Computers you will be able to access some of the "locked" records at FamilySearch.org. To view the locked records you will be prompted to sign in to your own account. If you don't already have an account you may create a free account through FamilySearch.org.

SGS Members - Did you forget something?
Are you sure that you renewed your membership this year? Go to Members Home and log in. If you see a green “Renew Membership” button, click it to renew your membership for 2024-25. Pay your dues online with a credit/debit card or print out an invoice to mail with a check to SGS. Send a note to membership@seagensoc.org if you need login information or to check on your membership status.
